At her engagement party, designer Vivian Belmont is publicly abandoned by fiancé Carter. Her uncle Richard, aunt Elaine, and Carter's mother Victoria then forge a fifty-million-dollar debt, imprison her in a villa, and attempt to marry her to the violent Howard to seize the Belmont Fashion House founded by her mother Seraphina. Vivian escapes and forms an alliance with Alistair, a Wall Street magnate concealing his identity, and attorney Daniel. She joins rival Hearst Group and secures a crucial Thorne Group partnership using her signature luminous embroidery. Sabotage follows: creative director Beatrice frames her for plagiarism and academic fraud, and her car brakes are tampered with. Vivian counters with evidence proving her mother's designs predate the accusations by twelve years, ultimately exposing the family conspiracy at a fashion show.
