Anya, paralyzed by social anxiety, chooses infection when the apocalypse begins, hoping to avoid both survival pressure and human contact. The bite leaves her consciousness intact but grants zero combat ability, making her a harmless anomaly among the undead. She shoulders a backpack and walks south toward her family, yet her ingrained kindness repeatedly pulls her into rescuing strangers. A ruthless human operative named Zane, a zombie named Leon with overwhelming power, a deranged virologist called Mia, and an apocalypse-level adorable zombie dog join her.
