Voss patriarch Walter forcibly harvested Elodie's neural cells to cure his grandson Colin, then abandoned her in the Ashen City landfill. She survived with no memory, raising daughter Iloen in the slums while a pendant provided mysterious sustenance. When Iloen's attempt to purchase a life-saving bio-chip triggers an identity blacklist and a hover-car crash, she sells her own heart to fund the treatment. Arthur gradually recognizes Iloen as his child through a paternity test and suspects the injured woman is Elodie.
