Oslo courier Ergil reads wind patterns instinctively. A delivery paid with a coded metal plate leads her to discover six matching plates in her possession. Tracing their origin reveals UAR, an abandoned underground air-monitoring network constructed in the 1990s by her grandmother, Gran. Ergil encounters four people tied to the project: a system observer, a secret monitor, a former team member, and a data archivist. Each holds a fragment needed to restart the core node. Once activated, the network streams live wind data from a northern fishing village where Gran still operates the sensors. Ergil continues her courier work while maintaining the revived system, embodying its purpose of making the city's wind visible rather than controlling it.
