After ten years as the hidden force behind Cook Cosmetics and secretly loving president Lexi Cook, Link Miller pulls an all-nighter to secure a billion-dollar contract. A staged stairwell photo gives Lexi and her lover Arthur the pretext to fire him and claim his work. When Link discovers them together, he calls rival CEO Victoria Sterling, who grants him partner-level resources. Lexi and Arthur then stage a hit-and-run, drug Link to ruin his voice, and frame him for the crash. Victoria arrives with security footage and forensic analysis that clears him and sends his betrayers to jail. Now at Sterling Global, Link develops the revolutionary Golden Elixir serum while Lexi, released on bail, steals his unfinished formula to launch Moonlight Glow.
