Erin Miller spent five years designing for the Walker Group while married to heir Alex Walker in New York's fashion world. At a Walker family celebration, she thanked her single mother Mary. Mother-in-law Victoria reacted with rage. Alex then slapped Mary six times publicly and forced her to raise her glass in apology. Erin filed for divorce, reclaimed 27 design licenses registered in her name, and resigned. Without her designs, the MUSE collection stopped. Alex and his father Richard tried persuasion and coercion, even staging a public self-attack, but Erin launched her own brand MARIN with lawyer Claire. Julia of the Jinhe Group invested $50 million. Julia's cousin Sofia joined the Walker Group, used substandard fabric from its inventory, and challenged Erin to a fashion show showdown. Erin won with 1,312 votes to 217.
