The Choice That Split Luna and Samuel
A Pregnancy and a Hidden Fortune
Luna Sawyer carried Samuel Payne's child when she learned his true identity as the heir to Payne Corp in Reydon. The revelation arrived alongside his cancer diagnosis, placing the couple at the intersection of a terminal illness and a vast inheritance neither had anticipated.
The Offer That Tested Devotion
Payne Corp representatives proposed covering Samuel's treatment if he ended the relationship. Samuel refused the deal out of love for Luna, not knowing she had heard the entire exchange. His rejection preserved their bond in principle but created the conditions for her departure.
A Departure Mistaken for Death
Believing her presence would block Samuel's access to life-saving resources, Luna left without explanation. A subsequent car accident led everyone to assume she had died. The separation rests on a misunderstanding: Samuel chose her, yet she vanished to secure the future he had already fought to keep.
