Seventeen-year-old Stella leaves her unrestricted hometown life for a tightly controlled luxury mansion after her mother marries into a wealthy coastal family. There she meets Vincent, her twenty-year-old nominal step-brother who maintains a flawless heir image while secretly ruling the elite competitive surfing circuit. Their first encounters are marked by sharp verbal battles, his cutting remarks masking a desperate need for affection and her defiance concealing growing curiosity. As they share the mansion, his possessive protection and her gradual surrender foster a quiet fondness. When betrayal by a friend and lover shatters Stella, Vincent becomes her only anchor. Later, a surfing rivalry leaves him injured, prompting her to win a high-stakes competition for his honor, and he later risks everything to shield her, collapsing the barriers between them into a secret romance lived distantly in public and intensely in private.
