ER doctor Ava Bennett spent years sacrificing her well-being and career momentum to sustain a long-distance relationship, trusting her boyfriend with their combined savings. That trust collapses when she discovers he diverted their joint funds to finance her younger sister's lavish lifestyle. Without confrontation, Ava accepts a demanding medical posting in Juba, trading her emergency room for a chaotic field hospital. When her ex-partner Noah tracks her down, his desperate attempts to reclaim her escalate into threatening behavior.
