Zoe dates the gentle Blake but cannot distinguish his face from that of Ethan, his identical twin and her workplace superior. Prosopagnosia and amnesia stemming from a past car accident cause her to mistake one brother for the other. Ethan uses the confusion to insert himself into her personal life, crossing professional boundaries. Meanwhile, returning dream fragments from the crash suggest the protector she remembers from that night may have been Ethan rather than Blake, shaking the foundation of her current relationship.
