During her marking ceremony, Diana Roth watches her fated mate Alex Burke mate her sister Rose, leaving her humiliated before the pack. Nate dotes on the pregnancy, even murmuring endearments in his sleep. The illusion shatters when Diana overhears Nate confess to his Beta that the implanted embryo came from Rose, who feared the pain of childbirth.
