Evangeline has spent years overweight and humiliated after her father, stepmother, and stepsister Rosalie secretly dosed her with fattening poison. A public shaming drives her to her late mother's diary, where she discovers a blood-moon body-swap ritual. She activates the magic and trades souls with Rosalie, forcing her tormentor into the obese frame while Evangeline inhabits a slender body. With a deadly thirty-day curse attached to the exchange, Evangeline engineers a trap that compels the conspirators to attempt reversing the spell, leaving them trapped in her former flesh. She then dismantles the family's wealth, punishes every abuser, and earns the devotion of a powerful Grand Duke who loves her for her courage rather than her appearance.
