After a failed rescue leaves brilliant programmer Su Baiyu conscious inside the body of her best friend Ye Wangshu — widely dismissed as a simpleton — Baiyu discovers the Ye family fortune was looted by Wangshu's sham husband He Hongshan, his ruthless mother Zhao Guixiang, and his lover Lin Mantang. While Wangshu's soul remains comatose in Baiyu's mangled form, Baiyu feigns greater incompetence to avoid suspicion. She covertly installs surveillance, rewrites security systems, and assembles a digital evidence trail of embezzlement, adultery, and attempted murder, turning the conspirators' arrogance into their downfall.
