Following the Twilight of the Gods, the celestial court orders the extermination of the Light Dragon clan. Aurora, the last mother dragon, flees to Dragon Breath Valley with a human orphan named Kael. Over eighteen years, she forges him into a living weapon through ancient dragon martial arts and the lost discipline of dragon healing. When Kael descends the mountain, the Azure Kingdom mocks him and Princess Serena shreds their ancestral marriage contract. Only Earth princess Maren, whom he once saved, stands beside him. Kael proves his worth by halting the death of a king poisoned by dark frost and resurrecting Serena from the brink. Their journey to the Scarlet Border reveals a vampire altar corrupting the land's source; destroying it heals thousands and tames a black dragon. The conflict escalates when a holy army besieges Steelmail, forcing Kael and four princesses into a trap where Gold princess Valeria exposes her father's treachery. The Five Elements unite, summoning one hundred dragons. In the final battle, Aurora sacrifices herself to shatter the Celestial Spear, allowing Kael to awaken the Creation Breath and erase the Celestial Judge. A year later, a peace treaty binds five nations and the dragon clan, while Kael keeps Aurora's glowing dragon core as a promise against the next fall of the sky.
