At a rainy bus stop, 72-year-old Arthur Bennett is assaulted and knocked unconscious. He awakens inside his 30-year-old self with a strict seven-day deadline to resolve everything left unfinished. After confronting his attackers, Arthur moves into his son Daniel's household pretending to be a former colleague. He uncovers a predatory scheme pressuring the family to sell his old home to a corrupt elderly-care real estate firm. Granddaughter Ellie discovers his true identity and becomes a covert ally. Over the week, Arthur pursues his abandoned jazz ambitions, reunites with Rose — the love he lost sixty years earlier — and hears Daniel's decades of resentment over paternal absence during childhood bullying and his mother's death. A recording from late wife Margaret guides Arthur toward a final choice between permanent youth and accepting his full life.
