At her daughter's wedding, mafia leader Don Evelyn notices a distinctive birthmark on a homeless young woman that matches the one her newborn daughter possessed twenty years earlier. Suspecting a substitution, Evelyn orders genetic testing, but the results are manipulated to cast the girl, Anna, out. When an assassination attempt targets Evelyn, Anna intervenes and takes the bullet, revealing that both share an extremely rare blood type. This biological proof confirms Anna as Evelyn's true child and exposes Gloria's long-running baby-swap scheme. Evelyn reinstates Anna as her rightful heir, though the nature of their bond remains tested.
