Victor, the northern vampire king, anonymously offers one hundred million dollars for his assassination after a thousand years of weariness. Ella, an orphan raised by the hunter organization Silver Blade, accepts the contract to purchase her freedom. She breaches his defenses but cannot deliver the killing blow. Victor counters with a blood covenant: she becomes his blood servant, gaining strength, while secretly seeking a flaw to destroy him. As they share days and nights, he is drawn to her defiance and she glimpses his solitude. At a clan banquet, Silver Blade declares her a traitor while rivals Lotte and Adela maneuver. A deeper conspiracy surfaces: Victor's adoptive mother Celine, believed dead, secretly leads Silver Blade and preys on vampires. Mortally wounded, Ella completes her transformation through the covenant and fights beside Victor against Celine.
