Claire steps out of a bewitched volume after a decade of confinement and learns that her sister Lily lies in a coma following a brutal assault led by Dylan, a privileged fraternity heir, and his circle. The book Claire carries enforces a merciless rule: any curse written on its pages rebounds onto the author. She exploits this mechanic to target each assailant individually, compiling irrefutable proof of their crimes and handing them over to law enforcement. Her systematic campaign progresses as Lily remains unconscious, with the final confrontation approaching just as her sister shows signs of waking.
