Rhea Black has lived without a voice for ten years until her aunt's betrayal unlocks a terrifying ability: her spoken words can reshape reality, but every utterance consumes her flesh. This power draws the attention of the Purifiers, zealots who enforce silence, and a shadowy resistance with its own agenda. As both factions close in, Rhea discovers the masked figure leading the hunt is the same person who murdered her mother.
