Sterling heiress Chloe regains vision after years of blindness only to watch her identical twin aunt Victoria stab her mother Eleanor with a letter opener. She instantly conceals her recovered sight, continuing to act blind while Victoria seizes the estate and the five hundred million dollars in shares registered to Chloe. Victoria imprisons Chloe, confiscates her devices, threatens her eyes with a knife, poisons her smoothies with a deadly allergen and forces psychotropic drugs in a bid to drive her insane. Chloe feigns madness, fakes an allergic crisis to reach her mother's trusted lawyer Julian and escapes with Dr. Arthur's help, though she is recaptured. At a shareholders' meeting Victoria, posing as Eleanor, demands Chloe sign over the stock. Chloe shreds the document and denounces Victoria as the killer. Shareholder Richard attacks but is felled by Victoria's hired thug Jax. Chloe takes Harper hostage, flees, and directs police to a freezer where she claims her mother's body lies, only to find it empty. Julian arrives with a USB drive of hidden surveillance footage, exposing Victoria, who is arrested. Police later locate Eleanor's body in an outlying cold storage facility. Victoria faces capital charges, Harper is convicted as an accomplice, and Chloe reclaims her shares and thirty hotels, dropping the pretense of blindness.
