In the Valenti crime family, each member wears a fused bio-watch counting down their predetermined lifespan. Twin sisters Sienna and Vivian share an eighteenth birthday, but only Vivian's timer reads zero, marking her for death that day. The family lavishes every privilege and their father's sole affection on the dying daughter while Sienna is treated as disposable. During Vivian's farewell gala, Sienna spikes a dangerous fever; fearing she will disrupt allied Dons, their parents lock her in a damp cellar. As Sienna pleads through the oak door, her mother dismisses her suffering as theatrics for family honor. Alone in darkness, Sienna's watch suddenly flashes a critical alert: vital signs mismatch and paired chip data incompatible, suggesting her identity or lifespan record may be falsified.
