On her seventh anniversary Violet overhears her husband, mafia don Rhys Marino, admitting an affair with her sister Luna. Instead of confronting them she triggers a prepared escape and accepts a classified medical research opportunity that erases her identity. Within three days she vanishes, leaving only her wedding ring and signed divorce papers. Rhys reacts with brutal violence against Luna and spends half his fortune hunting her down. Six months later he breaches the secure lab where she remains, but his pleas for forgiveness are refused. Violet tells him his betrayal was a deliberate choice, not a mistake, and that the man she once loved no longer exists. She severs every tie to his violent world and chooses her new freedom.
