During her sister's beach wedding, Ivy is deliberately buried in wet sand by her brothers while her former fiancé, now the groom, refuses to intervene as the rising tide drowns her. From beyond death she observes her relatives finally uncover proof that she never caused their mother's death, revealing the falsehood that had justified years of abuse.
