How a Goddess's Pact Collapsed Into Global Crisis
The Desperate Bargain With Pandora
Corinth suffers beneath a relentless plague, driving its people to summon the goddess Pandora directly. She answers by striking a one-year agreement to halt the sickness, establishing a fragile peace that hinges entirely on the royal household honoring its side of the divine contract.
Greed and Jealousy Break the Seal
The royal family's avarice combines with a priestess's envy to shatter the truce. Defying explicit warnings, they pry open Pandora's forbidden box, instantly voiding the goddess's protection and releasing catastrophe upon the city they swore to save.
The Golden Fleece Becomes the Last Hope
With disaster spreading, rival kingdoms mobilize to seize the golden fleece, treating the legendary artifact as the sole instrument of recovery. The narrative positions genuine faith as the necessary counterweight to political scrambling, suggesting belief outweighs conquest in restoring order.
