Reborn to her university years, Vivian recalls how refusing Emily's demand for her personal washing machine led to a fabricated infectious disease accusation, public condemnation, and her suicide. This time she locks the appliance immediately. Emily retaliates by laundering contaminated intimate garments in the communal machines, triggering a genuine cross-infection panic that turns the student body against Vivian. While isolated, Vivian methodically gathers proof of the sabotage. The evidence eventually clears her name and brings disciplinary action against Emily. Vivian then moves dormitories, realizing that enforcing personal boundaries is an act of self-preservation rather than hostility.
