On her third wedding anniversary, Elena Grant discovers a concealed phone in the safe of her husband, Cayden Walker, heir to the Walker Group empire. The device unlocks with the birthday of his first love, Selena Moore, confirming that Cayden's emotional distance stemmed from unrequited devotion rather than family pressure. When Selena returns to New York, she immediately receives Cayden's professional favor and personal defense, securing the executive role Elena spent years pursuing. At a company gala, Cayden again shields Selena, breaking Elena's remaining resolve. She resigns, files for divorce, and departs for Savannah. Cayden pursues her there, but Elena has already reclaimed her family ties, career autonomy, and a new connection with Noah, a man who respects her agency. Selena faces legal consequences for falsified credentials and intimidation tactics. Cayden ultimately accepts the separation, though far too late; Elena finalizes the divorce and chooses to direct her own future without waiting for anyone.
