Moonlight Magic Academy graduate Sophie suffers a betrayal by her best friend Ella that fractures her soul into seven pieces. The dominant fragment lodges inside Kane, a Boeing 787 captain and sole heir to the Mitchell family, forcing Sophie's diminished human form to remain in his proximity to survive. Initially dismissive of magic, Kane confronts the impossible when Sophie pursues his aircraft mid-flight on a broomstick and demonstrates telekinetic feats. She moves into his London home, citing their soul link as justification. Their uneasy cohabitation intersects with a sprawling conspiracy: Rebecca manipulates XT-037 crash data and infant records to bury the truth, while Megan targets Sophie and Emily with repeated frame-ups. Family members Alfred, Frank, and Diana uncover buried secrets. Sophie gradually restores her soul by resolving crises, repairing blueprints, breaking curses, and dismantling crystals.
