The central couple in Wife on the Run, Again!
Jay Glover and Riley Keller
Jay Glover presents Riley Keller as kind and innocent while claiming she never opposes him. Riley treats patients and has killed enemies, creating a gap between his words and her proven actions. Socialites mock her country background until her abilities force them into silence.
The socialites
The socialites look down on Riley because she comes from the country. Their contempt ends when her skill becomes impossible to ignore. This group supplies the immediate judgment that Jay steps into when he defends her publicly.
Patients and enemies
Riley's history includes people she has treated and people she has killed. Those facts sit outside the drawing room where Jay speaks for her. The contrast between her quiet reputation and her violent past supplies the story's central tension.
