Celebrated pianist Ruan Yu serves three years in prison after her husband, elite lawyer Huo Chenguang, and his first love Ning Xinyan fabricate charges against her. Upon release, she discovers their son Huo Ze suffers from leukemia, but deliberate medical obstruction prevents timely treatment. Despite donating an organ, she watches him die. Broken, she attempts suicide but is rescued by financial magnate Shi Yanzhou. Reborn as Xu Nanyi, she systematically dismantles the conspiracy, exposing tax fraud and forged paternity records to turn the perpetrators against each other. In court, she reveals her identity, securing Ning Xinyan's life sentence. A dying Huo Chenguang takes a bullet for her, and she donates bone marrow to save him—not for love, but closure. He abandons his empire for rural teaching, while she and Shi Yanzhou establish the Zeguang Foundation to help others.
